With health and wellbeing top of mind for the world, wellness-oriented spaces like this Wellness Retreat facility prioritize much more than just relaxation. The brief for this project was to create a place of authentic experience based on what was most faithful to this particular site and area: the landscape and the light that surrounds it.
The Studio was in charge of the design of the social areas of the complex, such as, an outdoor pool area, a yoga room and a private seating area.
The essential elements of the landscape are juxtaposed and emphasized: water, rock, and sky.
The architecture of this project features round corners and solid concrete creating a welcoming yet strong infrastructure that allows natural resources such as the landscape, natural light and water to flow through the entire space.
This project’s interiors, from lighting and furnishings, have been custom-designed to blend in with the architecture and the surrounding landscape. Everything from sofas, chairs, tables and objects, to street lights and hooks, have been designed to capture something unique and particular about this place.
